Two nights. Two dates. Two different girls...
Well there's a personal best that I'm unlikely to ever equal again. Took Allie to the Flames game on Monday. We both had fun, but it's tough to tell if there's any "spark" there...maybe there was, and we were both just holding back a little because it was a first date. Many thanks to the imbecile in the crowd behind us for diffusing any potentially silent/awkward moments that may have arrisen with his insightful hockey rambling that never failed to result in us fighting back fits of laughter ("when the ice is sticky, they have to make definite passes").
Met Jen for a drink at Nicastro's last night. She was not what I was expecting...
She's either quirky (best-case scenario), or just plain psychotic (worst-case scenario). I'm not too sure if I want to find out, but she has my number and not vice versa, so it seems the matter is largely out of my hands. I'm sure we'll go out again if she calls for the simple reason that women don't seem to be forming a lineup at my door, so meh, why not? Allie, on the other hand will definitely be getting a call later this week. Hopefully we can get together again this weekend.
I'm told by sources close to both parties that my Catherine-less time may be coming to a close, as apparently she didn't think that I'd take this long when told "to take as much time as I needed"...Oh dear...I miss her, but if that wasn't a good reason to call her immediately after the shit hit the fan, I don't see why it's a good reason now. Note to self: Stop falling for the woman with whom you've become best friends....it doesn't seem to end well for anybody, and as a bonus you get to strain/end a good friendship.
Ditched out of my family dinner in Canmore last weekend. Am I the only one that doesn't see what all the fuss is about involving turkey? I just dont' get it. So I stayed home, watched Jurassic Park (YAY!), and bought some thanksgiving dinner at Arby's (ah, trips down memory lane...if only they were good memories ).
I'm taking an independant reading course this semester, but I feel like I've fallen behind despite spending an hour and a half a day reading on the C-train. Guess I'll find out shortly...the prof supervising the course for me wants to have a meeting to see how far I've gotten...shit. So much for making a good impression (he's on my PhD committee). Anyhow, I should probably be reading for that course RIGHT now instead of indulging in this pointless activity...pretty sure no one reads this now that Rexa has fallen off the face of the planet (okay, maybe just the face of this website)...
Rock to you (?) later!
