Crisis averted? At least it seems so for the time being. At least until the next time she mentions the word "date" not pertaining to me...Ah, the joy of ambiguous friendships. C. and I talked fairly frequently the last couple of days, and I was actually instructed to call her when I got off work last night so that she could ditch the ass in question and come out with me. Unfortunately a close friend of hers had a crisis involving a paternity test, so that issue clearly took precedence over everything else, and rightly so. Kinda sad, she quit her office job, and starts landscaping on Monday, meaning that I've lost my e-mail connection. Damn, now I might actually have to do work all day instead of the back and forth e-mail conversations that I had generally come to look forward to. Special thanks to Gutierrez for always being around when a crisis involving the women in my life pops up, and to Rexa for the nice comment. "If there's anything I can do..." How about stealing me a lobster? I think you could pull it off...
So I ended up having a perfectly lovely anti-social evening last night. Found a bunch of beers from the Rogue brewery
God bless you Rogue brewery. Anyhow, drank said beers by the river with Grant until the wee hours of the morning, followed by a pizza caper, and Star Trek DS9 on dvd.
And now I ponder, love, life, and how the hell it could be that Rick Astely is indeed white (while listening to Night Ranger no less...what a GREAT band name...up there with Midnight Snack, and Daily Basis).
