Morning, SG folks!!

I got an unexpected day off - after some extreme weather in Houston over the weekend (not just heat, but windstorms), my office building is currently closed for electrical repairs.

My partner - the infamous Mistress Sindra - got swarmed by hornets last night while I was at the other job, couldn't even leave to take care of her until hours later...

Thanks for checking in everyone!! We counted about 30 stings, but she is much better today. The acute pain is wearing off, some lingering itchiness - and reduced joint aches? We've heard about bee venom therapy, glad to have this pleasant side effect. We I'D the culprits - they are "bald-faced hornets", they are social wasp that builds large nests - difficult to miss under ordinary circumstances, this colony had taken up residence inside of a loosely-folded tarp in our backyard instead... nasty surprise :(
