Im sure every model says this when they first get their foot in the door of one of the worlds largest alternative model websites- "it's always been a dream of mine", this is a truly significant statement to me, it shows how many beautiful girls are turning their dreams into a reality. So let me just start by saying... THIS HAS ALWAYS BEEN A DREAM OF MINE!
Hmmm where do I even begin, well, It all started a year ago when my dear friend Janine did a pin up shoot of myself. Janine was very much a beginner, but she had a firey passion for photographing some of the most uniquely beautiful alternative girls. She started her photography business 'KittyBee Photography' in 2013 and it took off in no time. Her motto is something I look up to; she wants every girl she photographs to feel comfortable in their own skin, no matter their size, height, weight or colour, I'ts all about being the best version of you that you could possibly be.
A year later into Janine's photography career I got a message asking if I would like to get involved in a SG shoot, my response was immediate... WELL OF COURSE!!!
She told me that Lalou Suicide had been in contact with her and had discussed livening up the South African SG community with some fresh new faces. I was delighted to also find out that I was the first girl that came to mind.
We started immediately, first with a test shoot where I undressed for a 'nude virgin' camera and the photographer behind it. I felt in my element, like I was born to do it! The liberation was addictive!
A month later we shot my first official set, I chose the name 'Le Visage', which is french for 'The Face' and is also the name of my beautiful beauty salon where I work full time as a beautician. This is also where we shot the set, accompanied by makeup artist Angelique MissA. Janine and Angelique got to it and made me look and feel so beautiful. After the shoot was called a wrap I eagerly awaited the images...
My first set is currently in line for MR and I was thrilled to learn that its been bumped up two weeks. I cant wait for everyone to see it. Im afraid until then I'm gonna have to tease you a bit ;)
I'd like to end off this blog by thanking every one mentioned for getting me this far already. I know I'm still a drop in a huge ocean but I am so so excited for my future SG adventures. Keep your eyes open for the other new South African Hopefulls. They are show stoppers!
Much love and light to you all
