You'll be proud to know that I passed the citizenship test at Ellis
Island. That fancy education is finally paying off. The scary thing?
After each answer they tell you what percentage of the people who
have taken the voluntary test at the museum answered correctly. The
majority of the questions were only answered by about 37% of all test
takers. Now, assuming that the people who are going to voluntarily
take the test...probably think that it is fun...which makes them
nerds...so isn't it disturbing that of all those nerds only about 37%
could answer mild questions about the government? True or false: One
of the President's main responsibilities is to declare war. Only
about 13% answered (correctly) false...since the President
(constitutionally anyway) cannot declare war on anyone...geez. But
then again, given current politics...I'm not surprised. Just scared.
