Happy New Year!
What's red and white and black all over?
ME. Red hair. White skin. And I'm black and blue all over from snowboarding in the icy state of Vermont. Where there is no snow. Thankfully, I got to do it all with SG Autumn and my lover man, idolmaker.
That's me in the purple and the lovely SG Autumn in blue...
So...Christmas...
I spent the holidays in NC with my family. One of my best friends flew in from Korea and made the drive with me. For the big Christmas Eve dinner I helped him whip up a rather impressive Korean meal. We drove to the "Big City" about 45 minutes away and found a Korean food market, which surprisingly had just about everything that a "real" Korean food store would have if it were in Korea, according to my friend. Next, we hit up the grocery store and had the butcher special cut a little under 14 pounds of beef and pork ribs to use for the Korean BBQ. He looked at us like we were insane when we ordered it up! My family was all impressed that I knew how to roll sushi rolls (thanks to sushi rolling classes in the great City of NY) and everyone pigged out so much that no one really cared all that much about prepping food for Christmas day so we basically just at leftovers and the turkey which did make it into the oven.
Christmas was a rather ridiculous display this year. I normally get a collection of books for Christmas. This year, (I suspect in an effort to over compensate for the loads of legal reading I've done), my family gave me a spa massage and a huge collection of Hello Kitty and Chococat goodies. I even asked for a book but had to go buy it for myself. (I know, poor me...wink!)
The only nod to my life as a law student was a stocking full of multi-colored highlighters from my father and a box of resume paper and envelops.
The day after Christmas I met up with SG Korben, SG Keri, SG Butterfly and limbo girl Erk and we shot some nekkidness. They are all super nice ladies...and even better... one of my favorite ladies, SouthernBelle made the drive from Charlotte, NC just to come hangout with me. She's the best...
It was a wonderful Christmas because I got to see my family. I'm always amazed when I go home that I have such a wonderful family. They are fun and creative and loving and no matter what they are encouraging to one another. What more can one ask for?
To come home to the most wonderful man in the world. Check. I have that, too.
Yep, it was a great Christmas...
