Today is a flat out work day. I've meditated on my presentation and I think I have all the facts straight in my head, though I need to clean up a bit and do some reading over the weekend (or on the plane). I saw a lot of my old co-workers last night. Even though it was a going-away party for someone else, the focus shifted to me...everyone asking 'what I'm doing' and 'have I looked at...X...Y...Z...job.' I used to be happy to talk about it, but now I just shrug my shoulders and say "I dunno....' and 'Yeah, I got it covered....' I hate to sound like an arrogant ass, but I don't need their pity or their career advice. I appreciate their caring, but the only person who can solve this problem is me.
I'm happy with my little moka pot. I went for a couple of years without an espresso maker, but now it's pretty much on demand. As much as I love big cups of coffee with cream and sugar, espresso gets the job done faster...and with fewer calories.
My head is still foggy...I've been averaging 6 hours a night of sleep, which is good for me, but I wake up feeling groggy...yet cannot go back to sleep. At this point, I may as well start slamming espresso shots and get to work.
I just picked up 'Dead Space' for research...I have an interview on the 25th with a very reputable company and they're going to grill me hardcore on my gaming knowledge. I have a backlog of a year or so. XD People always ask me if working in the game industry is 'fun'...well it was when I was 20...it's not anymore.
