Not sure why, but I'm totally addicted to 'Itunes U' right now. I keep downloading series of lectures and playing them in the background hoping they will sink in. Now I'm on hour 9 of 30 in the 'Classical Mythology' series. I always loved these stories, though I wish the prof would speak a little faster. Maybe it's just my attention span dwindling.
I feel pretty good today...my head is still in the clouds though. I'm glad I have FB and SG as a diversion, else I'd stew on my thoughts all day. I plan to finish one of my tracks this week...I like it so far, but it's missing something. I also plan to wrap my work project today or tomorrow then will patiently wait around for my trip to Montreal NEXT Monday. Funny thing is the only thing stressing me out is who is gonna take care of my cat.
I've been telling myself I should go out more...I mean out to dinner and clubs and such, but it's easy to become addicted to that lifestyle. It doesn't help that I live in 'party central'...at least if you're a cougar or a yuppie. This neighborhood isn't really my 'scene,' but I don't mind living here. Since I got laid off, there is nothing tying me to it though. I may end up back in South Bay if I get a certain job I've been after. As a consultant, I can work from any place on Earth as long as there is internet access and a local FedEx drop.
Meh...all this is so mundane isn't it. I need to get myself into trouble to spice up my blogs a bit.
