Well, it's been a week...guess it's time to update. My birthday came and went without much action...I was traveling on the day itself and no one was really around the following days, so fuck it. One of my friends offered to take me out to dinner, but it may as well be my on 32nd birthday. Of course a couple SG friends left me some nice messages. I dunno...once you're past 30, there aren't really any "special" birthdays...I mean at 16, driving, at 18, emancipation, and 21, drinking legally, 30, well...the first day of the rest of your life and (for the most part) you're a "grown up". I'm holding out on that last one for as long as I can though!!
Today is going to be slow...I need to set up some of my new music studio software and get all my MIDI controllers to work with it. One of my co-workers convinced me to "go virtual", so I'm trying it out. I do miss the touching my actual synthesizers and drum machine, but I have to say virtual syths take up a lot less space.
It's not much to look at, but here is what I have so far. I'm using Ableton Live 5 (soon to be 6) to run everything and will be investing in some plug-ins.
Took a trip to Bevmo last night and spent way too much, as usual. They stock my favorite Belgian Ale, Delirium Tremens, so I pretty much buy every bottle they get. If you're a fan, look for this label:
I also got some tequila...usually I go for Herradurra or Cabo Wabo, but I saw a short piece on this brand and thought I'd pick it up. It's extremely smooth and can be enjoyed "neat" or is a respectable MArgarita. By respectable, I mean fresh lime juice, Cointreau, and tequila...that's IT. If your limes are bitter, drop a couple teaspoons of simple syrup in. Save the pre-mixed sour mix crap for the Cuervo at frat parties. If I wasn't such a shitty photographer, you could see the brand was "Gran Centenario". I love the label and bottle:
Now I need to figure out how to kill the rest of the day. At some point, I need to work, but anymore, the thing that drives me to get up in the morning and make the trek to SF is...her. I'm still completely smitten with this woman at work. It's frustrating because I can't even go there. She doesn't report to me technically, but we have been working more closely in the recent weeks. We made a real connection a couple weeks ago on a personal level...just kind of out of the blue. She has to be one of the most beautiful women I've ever met, but now I hardly notice it. Her personality is beaming...she is so awesome to the core and all I want to do is be near her. I wish I could take the relationship outside the office, but I don't think she's comfrotable with yet, so I'm just chillin'. It's eating me up inside though dammit! God...I feel like I'm in high school again. It's not looking like a fool that I'm afriad of nowadays though, it's the HR department. Sometimes I think she feels the same for me, but our working relationship needs to come first.
Here's a pic of my roommates cat...my cat still hates him, but hopefully they'll learn to like each other.
Of course, here is the queen bee. There is some unwritten law about single dudes who own cats, right? I dunno what that is, but it makes women steer clear of them. Fuck all y'all if you don't like it:

You left by far the best comment on my rejected set. You're such a sweetheart.
How are you?
