Last night my roommate (and the home owner) notified me of his intent to put in his 2 week's notice at work. He doesn't have another job lined up either. I just took an extended break myself...the last 15 months, but I had a significant amount of cash saved up. He on the other hand, has no money...I mean he's always living hand to mouth and complaining that he's broke.

He's in a shitty situation and I am glad he's finally taking a stand. At the same time, quitting on a whim is just...I dunno...a bad idea? The other problem is he's an artist and wants to find a job utilizing his talent. He's talented and all, but I trip over "artists" in every gutter in San Francisco! The job market out there is pretty cut-throat, especially outside of our industry.

Not sure what to think. Meeting up with some old co-workers tonight for a reunion. They are good people and great friends. Among them is a girl I'm madly in love with...she's not on the market though...happily married for 8 or so years...but I can look, right?? IT's one of those situations where I think if fate had just put us together slightly before her wedding, it would have been ME she went with. Ha ha...now I'm talkin' crazy...time to take a shower.
