I know a lot of people define themselves by their day job, I'm definitely not one of those people. I am luckily a very talented software engineer by day but it's music that defines me! I used to be a classical oboe player and even did an oboe solo at the Sydney Opera House when I was 16 years old. I was also accepted for oboe into the army band in Duntroon, Canberra without even having to do an audition. Everyone told me I was "too smart" and I shouldn't be a muso so this ignorant young mofo went off to university to do microelectronic engineering after I picked that course by literally closing my eyes and flicking through the book that listed university courses and my finger pointed at that course. I also used to play jazz clarinet too. My piece de resistance for clarinet was being able to play "Woody Herman - Golden Wedding" after 18 months of picking up the clarinet. The classical oboe training definitely helped with that though! Anywho, long story short. I have 550 vinyl https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13r6RkunQyIe48Z-yNoC_8RCdprZBsImTHpvvX1U9m0I/edit?usp=sharing and I'm always looking for new music so shoot me some of your favourite albums if they aren't in my collection!
