So payday looms large in my windshield and another Free Comic Book Day has passed me by with absolutely horrible timing like you wouldn't believe. Sure we could have gone around to each shop and just collected the free shit but let's face it, Free Comic Book Day is about supporting indie comic shops. That means showing up and actually buying shit to show them how much you appreciate their support of your geekdom. Since I was unable to do that I felt it would be an absolute waste of time to bother going. Naturally I stayed home, in bed sleeping the daylight hours away. Again. Depression sucks.
I'm trying to get all my writing projects done so I can focus on drawing pages and covers and cool shit like that. So far I have three covers planned (Wavelength, The Short Life of Glory and The Bludhaven Knight) one page inked and scanned (Their Own Little Worlds) and three more pages planned (two for Wavelength and one for The Short Life of Glory). Its going to be a pretty busy week trying to get all of that done around my day job as well as getting Jean Grey road worthy. Thankfully only Wavelength is under any real time constraints and I have a full night ahead of me to work on it. I think I'll grab a Mountain Dew, a liquid cooled mechanical pencil and get to work on it in a little bit. So far I have never completed a page sketch to digital in one sitting so maybe I'll give that a try tonight. At least get all the sketching and inking done and do the digital tomorrow. We'll see what happens.
The end is in sight at long last. Its been a really tough financial road so far this year but for once I don't have to hope this happens or that doesn't happen. I can make plans and see those plans come to fruition fully. I'll let you guys know where I sit once all the dust settles.
@adelina This is what the pages look like on the new scanner. :)
