So for those of you who don't know, which honestly should be everyone reading this I was invited to create a black and white comic for a local publication. Its called BAAU (Bay Area Artists Unite) Down 13, a book that showcases talent from around the San Francisco bay area. I was extremely lucky to be in the book last year with a couple of random pages and this year I got invited back. Despite having a lot of time to come up with something I really couldn't until recently. Thankfully, out of a totally random thought I created the story Aphrodite's Favor and it finally got approved early last week. The problem is this, its about a 15 page comic and I usually crank out two pages per week. I have eight weeks to get this done so I'm only going to just BARELY make it unless I really crank it into high gear. This week I've resolved to get four pages done, two pages are already done and I've got two more to go. Its going to be a long two months but I think this project will be worth it. The group is nice enough to allow me to use my comic label Dysfunctional Realities Comix so it'll be some great exposure for my work. This year I'm turning webcomics into my second job and in a few years who knows? maybe I can even turn it into a business.
If you'd like to see more of my work check me out on:
If I make it I'll be sure to let you lovelies know. The book will eventually be available online but first prints will be exclusively available at Fanime.
I need a better cover page.
