I've fiddled around with this and that and my gripes are mostly limited to things that aren't working yet. i.e. I tried to change my "Vital Stats" but the changes didn't stick. Not sure if that's a bug or I just missed something. Right now I'd say the odds are about equal on both.
I do have two legitimate gripes though and the first is the loss of the Favs section. That was one of my favorite ways to keep track of SG's that I really liked. It gave me an easy to use means of going to my favorite SG's pages to check out their photo sets over and over. (Okay that sounded a lot less creepy in my head) The fact that this is now gone kind of bugs me. My biggest gripe though is the loss of the friends section. Both of these features have been replaced by the tab "Followers." I hate this, big time. The people on my friend's list on the old site were my actual friends. I talk to them on a regular basis, I knew I could send messages and get replies, we commented on each others blogs regularly this was an important distinction for me. Now those folks are blended in with the other random passers-by that say hi to me once and then never again. I don't like that. I'm not going to flame you if you do it just bugs me. I want a friends list to separate those that regularly interact with me from those that just "stalk me" or "just pass by."
Aside from that though I have no real complaints. As I said in my blog post earlier today I'm mostly just getting a feel for the new site and that's going to take some time. I like what I see overall so far though.
If you haven't already seen it I am making a slow foray into crossplay. This is going to be my first official crossplay, the character is Ivy from Soul Caliber IV, the alternate costume. It's almost finished and I hope with the right wig and a ton of make-up I can actually make a passable woman. We'll see what happens at Sacanime in January. The sleeves are hand made the rest is pieced together and modified and for the most part this is at it will look like when done. I only have one or two more pieces to add before I can call this somewhat complete (no cosplay is ever actually finished) and I'll be sure to post more progress pics as I get them.
Last but not least my car, Jean Grey remains DIW. Well, she's driveable but I can't get her to pass smog without fixing the exhaust leak. Sadly that's more money than I have at the moment and the state isn't willing to help so I'm on my own until next month. I'm getting a stock bonus from work that will be roughly $400 once I'm able to sell it. That should be enough to cover the repairs to get the tags and this girl:
will be ready to rock and roll. Patience is the word of the year for certain.
As always feel free to stalk me:
