Not sure why my next "steps" are to start working at Tesla but I'm uber, uber, uber psyched to start working. I wish tomorrow was my first day of work rather than just another step. My parents seem to think that I'll be taking a drug test at the very least followed possibly by a physical of some kind. Bring em on, I don't even drink so I know I'll pass flying colors. Look out future, here I come!
So now that I know I'm going to be working I can definitely go to this. Me and my wife are both going and we're going to be going in cosplay! I decided I wanted to explore my genderqueer self and dress up as a female character. Since Ivy from Soul Caliber happens to be somewhat controversial naturally I chose her. I'm going to have to hand make the costume though since no one makes it. Its going to be this one:
The overall costume itself is fairly simple to make, the skirt I think I can get away with just using large pieces of felt sewn to the bottom of the top. The hardest part is actually going to be getting everything done in time. The wig is going to be the most expensive and/or hardest piece since I know nothing about styling hair. My neighbor may be able to help me but chances are I'm going to have to pony up for a salon to style it. That's going to cost more than the rest of the cosplay combined. *sigh* What we do for art. My wife is dressing as a female version of "V" from V for Vendetta one of our favorite movies. I'll be sure to post pics when I'm done and if you're going to be there feel free to say hi.
