Not sure if I mentioned this here before but we're planning on moving from San Jose CA, to Eureka CA. Once I get all my back unemployment checks we'll have $500 saved and another $400 potentially by the end of next month. We're trying to sell some stuff to add to that total so if any geeks out there play Warhammer 40K let me know, I can cut you a deal on a Tyranid army (its in my pics folder already). I was thinking of either giving the game up or going with another army, I haven't decided yet. I also have some with hunters for sale and if you like playing hockey as a Goalie let me know, I have some gear for you. Not sure if we're going to get all or any of our stuff sold before next month but hopefully we will. The more $$$ we can add to the total the better we'll be when we finally get our asses on the road.
In other completely unrelated news I am finally going over the edge and buying a subscription based MMO. Thanks to Drusylla and my adolescent love for most things Star Wars I've been talked into buying SWTOR. I'm hoping to have it gifted to me for my birthday (hint, hint to all in SG land) but if not I'll just pony up and buy it myself. When it comes to MMO's I usually just play the free ones like Forsaken World and Black Prophecy. Forsaken World is gorgeous but lacking in game-play excitement which Black Prophecy has in spades but completely lacks a main storyline.
At least so far anyway. No one I've spoken to so far has any bad things to say about SWTOR so I figure why not? I passed on Star Trek Online because the gameplay was boring at best and repetitivly horrific at worst. I also stopped playing Eve Online because of the lack of control associated with the starship battles. Yeah I'm picky about subscription based MMO's, that's why so far I've always stuck with the free ones. Its easier to forgive gameplay issues when you aren't forking over $15 a month after dropping $60 for the game.
In more completely unrelated news I have a website! Actually I fooled you, no I don't, at least not yet. My website: Dysfunctional Realities Comix has been struggling just to get off my hard drive. My first attempt to upload it to a web hosting server failed miserably and I haven't had the funds to try again. I went back through the website and ended up making a lot of changes like a new logo, new layouts and dropping one title entirely. I also re-worked a couple of the characters but I'm sure most people wouldn't notice the changes. Now that my unemployment worries are over and I can actually expect some money in the very near future I think I'll try the upload thing again. If I'm successful I'll be sure to post the link here for all you lovelies to check out.
