So, as you may not already know, I just moved into my new house not one month ago. I've been painting, buying new furniture, getting things situated...you know- the usual. This morning I realize my 6 year old refridgerator (with a 5 year warranty- oh, the humor) took a giant dump. Not rad. I just had to throw away a few humdred dollars in groceries which I very recently purchased to accomodate the new diabetic diet. So do I scrape up the last of my "I'm gonna take 8 or 9 months off" savings and buy a new fridge, or do I go spend a few tens of dollars on a tiny bachelor(ette) fridge until I get back from the job in Hawaii in a couple of months with a big paycheck? Crap.

I have a bunch of friends and family are Diabetic, and it completely sucks... I relate. Im the exact opposite(Hypoglycemic vs. Hyperglycemic) so gotta watch my blood sugar closely to keep from swinging the other way. You should check out a "sweetener" called stevia. You can pick it up at Trader Joe's and places like that. Non-caloric and doesn't screw up your blood sugar, and isn't a carcinogen like aspertame and sucralose. Just avoid the crap that has Lactose as an added ingredient, it seems to give it a weird flavor.
