I agree with you, there is beauty in perfection. Whether you shave your quim, or not, if you do keep it clean. Some of the models don't seem to put their best effort out.
But there is something to be said about the freshness of truth vs. the bitter taste of artifice....
Damn my artistic eye, finding beauty in everything and then trying to rationalize it.

My boyfriend and I have to find a new place to live by December. Our Homeowner's Insurance dropped the policy because it's a 50 yr old wood-frame house next to a river. It took him a year just to get the insurance he had for it. So the chances of finding another provider that will accept him is next to nihil.
