Not every day that I turn on the radio and hear an advertisement for the small company I got my first car at. Brought back some good memories then some bad ones
I have just now passed the crucial halfway point of 20 days on my juice fast! Weight still hovering but my shirts fit better, my watch feels loose, and my face looks a bit thinner and healthier making my already ruggedly handsome face even hotter
I have already passed up on some tempting foods and drinks on this fast. Perhaps much more difficult now, I'm traveling to Raleigh for the next few days and possibly meeting some old drinking buddies that I will have to explain my situation to. On top of that, I may spend Easter in Jersey with family who will undoubtedly prepare foods that I have grown up on my entire life. I am, however, very determined and can honestly say, I can look at my favorite foods at the same time, breathe in the heavenly aromas of steak, ribs, and lasagna, and not waver from my goal.
In my last blog I was scouting out some Vegan recipes so I decided to get a feel for the heavy cooking (or at least heavier than I am used to) and the taste. I made some vegan style burritos for my friends and family and so far received positive feedback and a few useful tips. I'm am looking forward to eating again, learning how to cook better, and getting healthier in the process Some of the food I will be making looks delicious and I can't wait to taste what I'm sure will be very interesting flavors.
