I walked into Barnes and Noble again the other day looking for some vampire books. For years I have been asking the same question "Do you have any vampire books WITHOUT all the romance bullshit?". Time and again I was met with roughly the same answer "No, they are all like Twilight." So as I walked to the help desk I was overcome with a familiar sensation of helplessness. I sullenly looked the lady in her eyes and spoke; but to my great surprise my question was replied with an answer I had never heard before.
The rage of twilight fans is being outnumbered by zombie fans! While I have no particular disposition for zombies, I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. Soon the vampire romance rage will dissipate and become a normal category in the vampire genre. Perhaps writers will even create stories that don't revolve around "love". Then someday, I will be able to pass right by the "twilight section" with ease and look equally amongst the hardcore vampire stories. I have regained hope for the future and am now prepared to weather this storm.

I know right! Fucking vampire romance. I'll let you know if I find something but I'm betting it will take a while for these writers to grow some balls.
