yes i am a long way from home
i call this place home now. I never knew how beutiful ohio really was until i went back the first year i moved here. i was at an old friends house and had been up all night drinking and stuff and when i walked out in the morning from the top of the hill we lived on i could see this valley that was covered in dense fog and sticking out of the fog was three hilltops. the sky was blueish gray and i stood there smoking a cigerette thinking how awesome the picture was. i've replaced those hills with skyscarpers now. and the girl i moved here for is gone, but i've learned so much about myself and life here on my own that i can't say i would change a thing. i wouldn't be the person i am now if i had stayed there in smalltown ohio. plus i can always go back and those images like the one i saw mean more, but i still miss it sometimes. yes i am a long way from home, but home's not a long way from me.
