Monday: Things That Make You Go 'Motherfucker'
1. I've been cleaning out my inbox all morning. It's quite a daunting task. (Yes, I realize how rife with innuendo the preceding sentence is. Pontificate at your leisure.)
2. My weekend had its ups and downs.
Friday, after boxing, I came home and threw on some makeup while Dan and Krrn drank Hypnotiq (that's not them) and watched Jeopardy. Then we went to ChipShop for dinner and Lucky 13 for drinks. Fun was had, but we were all pretty wiped and got back to the apartment by 1am.
On Saturday morning, Dan and I got up early to meet tmronin and his lovely wifey for brunch at Moutarde (or 'Retarde' as we affectionately tagged it). 'Twas simply lovely. After eggs florentine and banana pancakes and bloody marys (maries?), we stopped off at Brooklyn Industries to window shop a little bit. After we bid adieu to our friends, we went home to pack up for our afternoon gift certificate shopping spree in Long Island. It was a beautiful day and we left the island that evening with nearly $500 worth of new duds. Nice work! ...even if they were from Gap.
That night we stayed in, smoked and watched SNL. We're old people.
Then come Sunday, I had two different shoots in Manhattan. The first was at noon with a photographer on the Upper West Side. Much to my chagrin, there were no trains running into the city, so I shelled out $30 (I don't have $30) to get there, and was still 15 minutes late because of the massive traffic resulting from the AIDS Walk. However, my tardiness was no big deal considering the model was over an hour late. The whole thing was a touch of a fiasco, but I was happy with the outcome. She looked glam-tastic by the time I was done with her.
Due to the previous shitshow, I was 45 minutes late for the shoot with tmronin and Anabel. So I shelled out ANOTHER $15 (I don't have $15) to make it there ASAP. Thankfully they're my peeps and we got shit done as quickly and smoothly as possible. Miss Anabel looked fabulous and the shoot was short and sweet.
After packing up, Anabel was gracious enough to drive us all back to Brooklyn while rockin' out to a little James.
I was absolutely EXHAUSTED by the time I got back to the apartment, so I passed out in the bedroom with Bubba, Lucy and Banapple Gas cuddled up to me. At 7:30p, Dan woke me up and I got domestic. Laundry, dinner, cuddling. We passed out around 12:30a. Like I said, old.
3. I'm super duper sad that jessikaaaa's set was rejected. As I posted in the Hopefuls group, it was one of my favorites and I'm sorry the general public won't get to enjoy it. I'm sure, though, that there will be a second attempt. And I'd better be there to witness it - I'll even put down the smutty magazines.
Check out the set HERE. Prepare yourself for hottness.
4. 'Ghostbusters' by Ray Parker Jr. is on the radio right now. Rock.
5. My back is pretty much healed. Thank the Christ - the itching was getting to be a little much. I sent out a thank you card to my artist, Stephanie, on Friday. She's awesome like a possum.
6. If I was a cat, I'd look like this today:
Shadow of the Day: Girlie!!
