Friday: Is it Us?
1. It's too long a story to have to type out, especially considering the mood I'm in, but suffice to say that landlord troubles follow Dan and I everywhere we go.
Our current landlord (for the apartment in which we were supposed to stay until 2008) let it slip yesterday that she's intending to sell the unit (it's a co-op) which means we have to be out at the end of our current lease - February 2006. Which wouldn't be such a huge deal if it weren't for the shit ton of money we dropped to secure the place for a long time, including a massive broker's fee. I couldn't be more pissed about this situation. However, I will say this - it's terribly unfortunate for our landlord that Dan is in Law School. Angry lawyers are not flexible.
So, a quick apology to those of you who helped us with our last massive move. I know we promised that this'd be our last, but it seems it won't.
2. On a lighter note, James' new set is brimming with awesome juice.
3. After spinning last night, I came home, threw a pizza in the oven for my love, made a salad for myself, then we sat down on the couch with some pot and The Life Aquatic on DVD. What fun! It took our minds off of the bullshit for a little while.
4. A while back I lost one of the ball bearings from my right nipple barbell, and had replaced it with another that didn't quite fit. So the threading was irritating my poor nipula. I was reading about mastitis (thanks Twil) recently, and decided I should get a new ring before my boob turns inside out like that. Anyway, I went yesterday and got one. I put it in this morning. Yay for my tata.
5. Maybe I'm just some hyper-evolved superbeing, but my back is pretty much done healing. There is a little bit of scabbing left, and it's still a teensy bit itchy in spots, but on the whole it's good to go. Six days! Not bad.
6. If I was a cat, I'd look like this today:
7. Everyone go congratulate my man - today marks the completion of his first year of Law School. And if any of you need an excuse to get wasted tonight, join us.
That's gonna do it for me today, lovers. Enjoy your weekend!
Shadow of the Day: Orange.
