Wednesday: Back on the Scene, Crispy and Clean!
1. Thank the christ, the International Beauty Show is over... at least until 2006. It was insanity, and I worked both days this weekend. Suffice to say I'm exhausted. And I can't tell you the sheer volume of beauty atrocities that were roaming the convention center. EVERYBODY: PUT DOWN THE STRAIGHTENING IRONS AND BACK AWAY SLOWLY.
2. I have slowly developed a monster girl crush on Miss Lexie. MeYOW.
3. The Greatest Show Ever was another one of those 'holy-fuck-some-crazy-ass-shit-is-gonna-happen-really-soon' setup episodes. But I love every minute of it. Shane had better watch his back, yo - Lem's not fucking around anymore. *pees*
4. I had some of the hottest sex EVER last night, compliments of the hottest piece of ass on Union Street. Man, did I luck out with that one.
5. I have this coming Friday off of work to work my maquillage magic on thirteen lovely SuicideGirls for the SG Fashion Show. It's gonna be taxing, but the lovely Aspen is holdin' us down and making sure shit runs smoothly. I'm also very lucky to have friends like tmronin to snap some headshots that evening for my portfolio. Yay!
6. Speaking of maquillage, my friends at the local M.A.C have been pressing me to come work there. I can't do anything until my work permit stuff processes, but even still... I enjoyed working for that company back in Toronto, but the company (more specifically the PEOPLE) here in New York is very different. I don't know if I want to deal with that again, unless it's changed dramatically in the nearly six years since I've worked there. *ponders*
7. I have to go downstairs to storage tonight to break out the summer clothes and shoes and shit. Skirts like WHAT! I'm excited.
8. I'm still having the occasional freak out about my upcoming backpiece appointment. But I think, in the end, I trust my artist and I am comfortable enough in my own skin to be proud of my work. As Twwly said to me recently, I am making the transition from being a girl with tattoos to being a Tattooed Girl. It's a big step. *tremble*
