It's safe to say I had the most AMAZING time in Corfu last week with some of the most incredible people I have ever met.
The reason I joined Suicide Girls in the first place (apart from wanted to be associated with such an epic brand) was to meet new people, like-minded people. I was lucky enough to be able to jump onto the SG Corfu trip as soon as the incredible @midnightpoison started to organise it. I sent in my application for SG in December, had the chance to shoot with the legendary @tripodski for my debut set but haven't really had chance to meet anybody else, so this was the perfect opportunity for me. The perfect opportunity to face my fears and social anxiety to just get out there!
We all chatted in a whatsapp group prior to the trip and got to know each other a little bit there, as well as following them all on insta. So many of the people going I really looked up to so was super excited to get out there and meet everyone - however, I was also shitting my pants. Going out there and meeting 12 strangers who I'd be living with for a week is pretty daunting, although the nerves only really hit me on the plane. I was fine in the run up to it and SUPER excited, then on the plane I was just overwhelmed with nausea. I was literally heaving in the bathroom half an hour before landing. Good ol' social anxiety. Buuuut I powered through, got my bags and waiting in the airport for everyone else to arrive. Being first there was rather daunting too, just waiting with my anxiety and my mind going wild but then as soon as @midnightpoison and @avenir got there it all washed away and I was just buzzing for the week ahead. Everyone was so fricking lovely as they arrived in the drips and drabs.
We were all just chatting straight away like old friends, when you follow people on insta and speak to them in group chats you do feel like you have a sense of knowing these people you have never met. It immediately put me at ease and I instantly knew I made the right decision going on the trip!
Well, the rest of the week was just EPIC. Formed some fantastic friendships, chilled with the best group of people, sunbathed, shot 3 sets, ate a fuck ton of pizza and even got drunk like 3 times haha! So here's a few snaps from the week for you all to enjoy :)
