While artists from the heavy metal heyday of the 80s and early 90s were known for their hard-rocking ways and arena rock anthems, it was often their ballads that crossed over and made these acts (and this music) truly global.
Metal Mania Stripped is a truly unique collection of some the best loved bands and songs from that era. But, this is more than just a collection of great songs - the album sees a unique take on these classics. Gathered from imports, live recordings, rare performances, hard-to-find albums, and six BRAND NEW recordings, Stripped is an extensive collection of acoustic tracks from hard rocks multi-platinum metal gods.
Whether a solo performance by Kip Winger (Wingers Miles Away), an extremely rare and awesome a capella by Extreme (More Than Words) or a new recording of the Cinderella classic Dont Know What You Got (Till Its Gone) this is an album for all those who were there and also a whole new army of metal fans. Classic songs from classic artists in a completely original context.
