SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK.

*sigh*

I was going to write a big, long post about blah, blah, blah... Meh.

Anyway, here's the jist. I've been a perpetual lurker on this site since 2004: when I moved to NYC and my friend in Moxie told me I might like it. And I have, and it's been a really fun ride. When I still lived in NYC I got to do SG Army (I'M OLD!) stuff and went to a few parties. I just wanted to say basically how much braver being here has made me (like nipple piercings to honor my mom's triumph over breast cancer and participating in Sharyn's wonderful art project), it's put a lot of things in perspective, and through seeing other beautiful women with strength and beautiful flaws and through that becoming much more comfortable with the body I have and who I am with just being myself and happy in that fact. Changing yourself for other people is unsatisfying and stupid.

So yeah, smilies.

I guess I realize things in any form of community, actual and virtual, will have forming, storming, norming and performing stages - I guess in the end you just take things away from it that fit and work and leave all of the negativity and don't fuel it - you know? Whatever, I'm sick and rambling.

I guess maybe I'm just in a sentimental mood.

UGH, I'm going back to writing plays about fart jokes, they seem to be the only things working for me right now.

Anyway, here's a funny story about me being stupid: I THOUGHT I was getting a package from Canada today since I got a FedEx email - but I read it wrong and my transcript was actually being sent to Canada, not my rejection/acceptance letter. *sigh*

Now for a funny story about how silly my current school sometimes is: "Squirrel away" doesn't mean waste, it means save - so saying "Don't squirrel away your chance to reserve a room" does not mean what they intended - that bugs me.

Other random tidbits:
1) MyHeritage.com says I look 80% like Ashley Tisdale - seriously? Does this mean I can get in on that sweet "High School Musical" Franchise monies now?

2) I am recently obsessed with Margaret Atwood. I've always loved her poetry, but now I'm reading "The Handmaiden's Tale", it's my Spring Break bit o' fun. (I'm such a nerd!)

3) I am obsessed with shows like "Faces of America" - I wish I knew more about more about my genealogy, too bad we are all poor immigrants with bad records and forgot our original languages. All I know is that I'm part Polish, Bohemian and Yugoslavian, but I don't know much more than all of that.

Alright, I think my tummy feels good enough to finally lie down and attempt some sleep - but don't be surprised if I'm back around lurking about the boards later tonight.

Ugh, I should have known I was coming down with something when three people in the past three days said I look really tired (code for yucky).



Don't worry I won't breathe or barf on you... only if you get too close, then I make no promises... Yup, I'm sick rambling. I better quit while I'm ahead.
