My very favorite fictional character is Hermione Granger. Not only is she smart, ambitious and talented with magic, she also does not need the validation of others or fall into the trends of most teenage girls. I look up to her because she, unlike most other girls, does not just fall in love with Harry because he is famous. She doesn't let what other's say about her change how she feels about herself. Even when she is against all odds, Hermione never gives up or expects a man to do something for her. She knows that she may be different according to some, but she doesn't let that stop her from doing what she loves to do. Even the boy who lived would have been lost a few times without the help and knowledge of Hermione Granger.
