When I signed up to become a SuicideGirl, I took my very first set with my iPad in my living room.
Lets just say, it wasn't the greatest set ever taken. So, I tried again with a new location, but still my pictures were not quite up to par, but had improved. After one more round of this, I was ready to give up and throw in the towel. I thought, "Maybe in just a weird, small town country girl and I'm not what they are looking for. Something told me that this wasn't the end for me and I started up an email.
I asked what I could improve to help me get accepted into Member Review. When I got some feedback, I was rejuvenated in my confidence. I decided to give it one more shot. I scheduled a shoot in a tattoo shop with a professional camera and I was eager to do my shoot. Two hours before time, the shop owner called and canceled.
Upset and disheartened, I decided to give it a try anyway in my kitchen. What was the worst that could happen? I could go through another round of rejection?
I did the shoot, I sent it in. The next morning, I received an email. "Congratulations," was all I saw before I exploded with excitement. Being accepted gave me the confidence I needed to sign up for a modeling agency, and I got signed for that too, all in a months time!
I have met so many great people on this site and I am so honored to be part of this experience. My confidence is so much stronger and my motivation is boosted in ways unimaginable! I can't wait for the next 3 months to pass by and for my photos to go live!
SuicideGirls has been the most amazing experience of my life. :) @missy
