So, I wanted to talk a little bit about my all time favorite movie, Girl, Interrupted.
Now, if you haven't seen it, I wont give away to much, just the main reason's why I love this movie and think everyone should check it out!
This film is based on the life of Susanna Kaysen, a woman diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder who is sent to a mental ward for a "rest". The film portrays the events of her stay and the connections she made there.
- Girl, Interrupted teaches us that people aren't always what a label says. It shows us that everyone has a story and not to judge a situation to harshly before you have truly experienced it for yourself.
- Although some parts can be raw and edgy, the film does it's job of portraying the lives of the women on which the movie was based. It shows you that life happens to all of us, we just all have a different way of coping.
- This film is funny, touching, exhilarating and has a deep message to those who suffer from a mental illness, you are not alone and it isn't your fault.
- With a title as such, some guys are hesitant to watch this story, but this film is great for anyone.
-It's so easy to connect with the characters and feel for them. It keeps you on the edge of your seat!
If you've seen this movie, let me know what you think. If you haven't, go watch it, then let me know what you think!
Don't be shy! :)
