New York City was amazing!!
Prepare for the photo upload of the year..
I stayed in Brooklyn and had the greatest time!
I met some of the most incredibly nice people on the earth. Every where I went people were telling me to move there and offering me job connections.. I have never felt more welcome in a city as I did in the greater New York area.
(I'm having a really hard time uploading photos because they are too big. So I am going to try and upload a new album with a bunch of the photos that I skip in the blog.)
I'm not sure if I had a favorite day but some of my favorite pictures came out of 5 points in Queens. Gorgeous place to shoot. I met a man named Greg who was one of the artists allowed to paint there and I snapped a few pictures of his contribution. This is myself and Greg's self portrait.
And some of my other favorite pictures from 5 points.
I don't think I have ever eaten out so many times in a row in all my life. But delicious food!!
Frank took me to a sports bar on the day the NY Giants beat the Packers. Insanity! We had so much fun.
We drank hot totties and beer.
I have so many stupid random stories to tell. This blog could never be long enough.

So New Years Eve I was a little tipsy(hammered drunk) and I met this girl who liked to take photos. I told her I like photography as well and said we should get together and chit chat.
She informed me that she was visiting from Brooklyn and was headed home soon but we could email. Come to find out she was headed home the same day I was flying to Brooklyn for my visit..
We got together one night and after a few drinks we realized that we had grown up in the same tiny town. This was crazy to me, 3,000 miles away from home and you meet someone from the same little town..
It gets better. She lived with a young couple. They were both very nice people and the girls showed me what they did for work while the boy talked with Frank about their common interest in comics.
Suddenly, the boy abandons his conversation and walks over to ask me what grade school I went to.. he remembered my name, my father's name, and told me how sad he was when I moved away...
It gets better.. I use to sit next to this kid in 3rd grade. I had a big crush on him and he loved Spiderman.. I talked my dad into signing an autograph as Spiderman so I could give it to him in hopes that he would be my first boyfriend.
He didn't date me, but he still has the paper to this day that my dad signed... and there I was 3,000 miles from where we grew up, sitting in his living room, smoking his splifs and drinking his vodka, listening to him ramble on to Frank about the new Spiderman movie..
Wild.

Frank and I ate out, A LOT. One afternoon we sat down at this place called the Surf Bar. It had tons of sand on the floor when you walked in.
We order a few drinks and quietly start talking shit about the pretentious loud mouthed table next to us and their higher than thou attitude.
Well as the meal began to wind down the drunk girl realizes she can't find her phone. They call it over and over and we can hear it ringing but after roughly 5 mins they still had not located it. She decides it must be under the seat and proceeds to flip over the bench seat in which I am sitting on as well.
This flips all of our jackets and hats onto the floor in the sand (mind you it's 17 degrees out) and bumps not only the 9$ drink we had payed for over emptying the glass, but also a pitcher of water that dumps onto and soaks Frank's shirt. He had to take off his shirt it was so utterly saturated.
She then decides instead of sitting down and calming down she is going to flip over the table and starts digging in the sand and yells, "It's in this god damn sand!". The entire diner is staring at us and I've nearly fallen into the plate of the woman next to me.
At this point, I start uncontrollably laughing. The bar tender gives Frank and I a free shot of whisky each and we leave.
- I talked to homeless, city workers, cops, and various other people from the city. Click spoiler for more info.

I wanted to see Occupy Wall Street. There were some of the most interesting people down there. I met a few cops who watched over the place to make sure no body hurt the protestors or vis versa. There were a few people there despite the frigid weather.
I met a man who had been wearing the same shirt for 2 weeks as part of an experiment to see the difference in people's funk..
I met a vet who had been denied benefits and made a documentary about how shitty that has been.
I met a homeless black man who rapped about politics and a homeless white man who spoke more thug/ghetto than any wigger I've never known. They were fucking awesome.
I met a 21 yeah old navy man who was on leave from San Fran for his birthday.
I met a woman who had never been to CA but recently got to bring her niece out from Georgia to see snow for the first time. She was really encouraging and taught me the subway system. She worked in Central Park.
I met Frank's childhood friends all from Long Island. Supper funny and nice people.
Whoever said people from NY are cold and distant.. they lied.
- I met a real sugar daddy and had him try to make me his sugar baby. Click spoiler for more info.

I was sitting in a book store trying to warm up when I looked up and saw this man staring at me..
He came over and began to make small talk with me. What was I reading? Where was I from? La la la... anyhow, He asked if I would watch his book while he went for a cup of coffee.. I complied.
Things began to get strange..
He insisted, asked me over and over.. "Let me buy you something? Can't I buy you something? Just a coffee? I'm going to get some coffee let me get you one.." I held up my full cup of coffee and say "No, thanks anyway". He came back and asked about my family, my school, told me about his life and yadda yadda.
Yet things get more strange..
He commented on my coat. He told me it's was not warm enough for NY winters. He asked me if I needed a coat, told me I needed a coat. Demanded I should let him buy me a coat! "Mine keeps me warm enough and I have a longer one back at the house, thanks".
At that point I wished him well and he asked me again if he could please take me out to get something to eat, told me if I needed anything or wanted anything to let him know and I thanked him and went off to the bathroom.
I did not come back.
- I fell in love with a man who makes muppets for a living. Click spoiler for more info.

I saw a lot of toy stores while I was in the city.
Well I stalked this poor guy who makes muppets. There is only one store and only 5 guys who make these muppets and I found myself enthralled.
