just got done watching Saw II. i had heard that it was just an excuse to kill people. here's my input.
This film is violent. fucked up. and i can see where some people can make that claim. but here's me...
i've been watching horror movies since i was a wee lad. my DVD collection is modest(about 220) but about 80 percent is horror movies. from the '50's to the present date. so what do i make of Saw II?
i loved it. it was fucked up. had alot of death and gore(but not too much). it kept a certain level of suspense(you stay glued to the screen but aren't left sitting for an hour wondering "what's next"). and the ending is even more morbid than Saw. In Saw, you could kind of see what's coming. but that didn't diminish the effect. in Saw II, i never saw that ending coming(although i should have, i've watched enough of these films that this kind of thing becomes second nature to spot).
in short...
great flick. if you enjoy fucked up plot lines and untimely death, this film is for you
good night, and good luck
