seeing the gorillas made me sad
i wonder how happy they could be living in a cage
of course we all live in cages
though self-imposed

how's aboot a knuckle sammich?
As a child I was really into learning about the work of Dian Fossey and Jane Goodall. What a mix of emotions those documentaries brought to me. Their work fascinated, saddened and infuriated me all at the same time. What beauty and wonder was found in the natural world and how could human beings be so arrogant and cold as to exploit and destroy the eden that I imagined those ape colonies to be. Eventually childhood idealism and fantasy slowly gave way to adult cynicism and the minutiae of my own existance. Wouldn't it be great to be able to really reconnect with that child mind while having the resources of an adult. I suppose some people do it and maybe I am even able to do it on occasion. I want more of that.
ps if anyone knows where I could score a ticket or 2 to see Sigur Ros in Durham 9/7 please please me

haha, tell me 'bout it!! took a few weeks just gone to work on old images and was editing stuff from october. kinda embaressing to put on my site seeing as its THAT late!!
