"He's got hydrogren psychosis...crazy eye. Steve! Me thinks you got crazy eye!" -Klaus Daimler
Just got back from seeing The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. The genius of Wes Anderson, Bill Murray and Willem Dafoe+adventure at sea+man-eating jaguar sharks+pirates+3-legged dogs+radtastically cheesy uniforms+killer soundtrack featuring classic Bowie sung in Portugues and one of my favorite songs ever by SIgur Ros at the climax of the film+a hot and preggers Cate Blanchett=
Been shooting a lot of shows lately and am in talks with an photo agency that might sign me to represent my work. Keep your fingers crossed for me this could lead to some great opportunities!
Got a couple of interesting emails this week in regards to my concert photography. One being from the Mom of the touring bass player from Bright Eyes. During the encore at the show in Raleigh they brought onstage the infant daughter of a couple of band members whose crying can be heard in one of the songs on "Digital Ash". The Mom wanted permission to use photographs I took of the granddaughter to give to friends and family and submit to the paper where she lives. She claimed the daughter thought it was "uncool" to take pics of the lil one on the road and the grandmomma was excited to come across mine. Sounded a bit odd to me though so I told her that unfortunately I would need the parents permisson before I agreed to anything. Don't want to step on any toes or piss off members of one of my favorite bands in case the family is estranged or something.
Got an email from a member of one of my other favorite bands who I shot a few months back. After the show I hung out with the band along with a couple of hot "groupie" types. I took a bunch of candids backstage and on the bus and apparently photo-documented the start of a serious romantic relationship between the band member and one of the girls. He emailed me to tell me how much he liked the photographs and the fact that he has been staying in the states for the past couple of weeks with the girl. How many people get a pro-photographer on hand to artistically capture the infancy of a serious relationship...too damn cool.
Shot Le Tigre and Lesbians on Ecstacy again on Weds. nite. Brought some prints of shots I took last time they were in town to give to the loverly lezzies. They were very pleased with them. Such sweet gals too bad they are lesbians heh, course that just makes me crush on em all the more...
The show itself was a lot of fun with a handful of sgncers in attendance. I have been so impressed by the quality of people I have met through this website.
Lesbians on Ecstacy had this rad setup where they were videotaped and then Linux software translated them into ascii on the projector screen behind them
I think Kathleen Hanna is so damn hot
and JD ain't so bad either
You can check out more Le Tigre shots HERE
And more Lezzies on X HERE

No he wasn't a Larry but only a 1/2 step up. Larry in disguise maybe.
