What a day.
Today my father, brother uncle and I cleaned out the barn on Grandma's property. The barn itself is probably 120 years old. Not huge (there was a larger one but they burnt it down in the sixties when they gave up dairy farming and made more room for crops). I don't think anyone had been in this bar for at lease 20 but probably 30 years.
It was a interesting day to say the least. All sorts of knick knacks and memorabila turned up.
The various handheld DDT sprayers from the 1950s' were interesting. I suspect the white powder they still pumped out was the infamous DDT. The old portraits of my great, great, great, great Uncle Susbauer were interesting also. He was the one given the land grant of 600 acres around 1860 or so. Just about the time Oregon became a state.
Exhausting day physically and emotionally.
On another note. Saw a great movie. The Conformist. Truly well done. It is dubbed but don't be afraid of that they seemed to have done it quite well.
Look it up. Worth seeing.
That is all for now.
