Saw a couple movies over the weekend.
Stranger than Fiction. Just excellent, well played by Will Farrell one of the best movies I have seen by him and out of character from most of his films. This is a good thing in my opinion.
The other was interesting even if I did not enjoy it as much. When I have time I pick a year and rent the Acadamy Award Best Picture winner for that year if I have not seen it already. So one I had always heard of but never saw was 1981's Chariots of Fire. Good movie, very interesting. But what I found most interesting in older movies is seeing actors you recognize now in their earlier parts before they were famous. Seeing people in bit parts who are not named in the movie who you recognize from other movies today as either leads or major character actors.
Found it interesting that the castle that the supposed school was at in England is one that my mother and I visited for the day when I was there in 1995. There was nothing there at the time to lead me to know that. Also that Dodi Fayed was the producer of the film (died with Princess Diana).
Interesting stuff.
