God Damn only being able to afford to move to the "Poor" side of town... dammit... dammit.. dammit!!!! Okay so the area is actually gentrifying at a extremely rapid pace the the influx of hipsters and artists and young people is great.
But from the outside there is still some years of change yet to happen here. And why pray tell does all this come up?
Well, glad you asked.
I am home all day today while contractors are installing AC to my house and my neighbors house (I am watching over it for her while she is at work) so I decided to catch up on all that misc paperwork that stacks up on the desk. So I noticed after my last car insurance renewal that somehow they had my correct address for homeowners insurance but my old address for the auto (ummmm same insurer.... doh!). So I call them to correct the error. And what to my joy do I behold??? Because of the new neighborhood and higher crime rates of a poorer neighborhood.... my damn auto insurace went up $143 EVERY SIX MONTHS. Shit.
Grrrrr...
Foul... foul I tell you. My car is only a toy. I take the bus, ride my bike or walk to work. It is garaged all the time and is four years old with only 22K miles on it. Most of those are before I bought it two years ago. I have put exactly 8K miles on my car in 2 years.
SHEEESH......
But I do oh so love it.
Oh well... off to find the check book and pay up.
Later all.
