A new addtion to the household...
I will be adopting my grandmothers cat. Nobody else could and I have the new home and have been thinking about getting a pet.
So we shall see how it works out since I am allergic to cats! But some are better than others. I was a bit wary at first but now I am looking forward to it...

we rescued are cat from a loveless household where she was being abused and neglected.
i can't go near the adoption section of the pet stores because i see that they are mostly cats and i think of ours and how long it took for her to be ok again, her real personality to come through, and i want to take home every one of them because they deserve a chance to be themselves too.
Her name is Twinkie, but not after the fatty snack. Although she herself is a bit of a fatty.
But I love her and she saved my life too. So I guess that makes us even?

Goodbye Grandma, we love you and will miss you dearly. We thought we had a little more time but I guess we really never know how much time there is.

Forgive me if I express absolute amazement over what you are having to deal with right now. It sounds as if you are being emotionally and physically taxed to the limit. Taking care of two elderly people is a tremendous, tremendous responsibility. My immediate concern is: DO YOU HAVE HELP? Any other family members? Professional caregivers? You cannot adequately care for your lovely grandmothers if you are totally and completely overwhelmed. It is essential that YOU have a support-system, as well. Though what you are doing is a beautiful and noble thing, you must try your best to ensure that your happiness is not sacrificed on the altar of family obligation. I'm sure your grandmothers would want for their beloved grandson a full, satisfying life.
That little mouse wheel can be a pretty tough thing to escape, but not impossible. You still have plenty of time, my friend.

i was stoned when i watched that movie, so it was kinda messed up
i have yet to read the book, it's been sitting on my shelf for far too long
