what's the nicest way to tell your boyfriend you appreciate that he's trying to do something nice for your birthday tomorrow but the plans he made actually suck and cater to him, not me?
he's kind of sensitive and he's always afraid he's fucking up our relationship so I'm wary of sounding too harsh but generally I'm a really straightforward person and after my last relationship, where I never said anything because that guy was even more sensitive, I vowed to not let that happen again and just say stuff even if it hurts him a bit. but I want to know the nicest way to say it because this guy is so good.
