OK, this journal entry was going to be filled with fun pictures from Coachella, and the like, but my camera phone is being a jerk. So here are some limited photos, optimized for your web viewing pleasure.
On Thursday I took two final exams, that sucked, and then went to watch my NY Mets show the LA Dodgers who were in charge. Proof, yet again, that I am turning this "city" into my bitch.
Woke up very happy on Friday. Then went and worked on my final projects for a bit before hitting the salon (see my new profile pic) to start the preparations for the Bondage Ball. I had a bit of a pre-party. Cedar, reprobate, bean, Shalome, MissMisha, MorningStar and another friend of mine came over to drink drinks and help me wriggle into my latex dress.
And how fucking cute is Shalome?
You'll just have to wait to see pictures of my dress.
At the ball we had a blast, LucidApathy was spinning some tunes. Things got a little weird when people started asking for my autograph. You see, after the last ball, my photo ended up in the L.A. Times and now the photographer is using it on his promotional stuff. So there were prints of the photo everywhere. People came up to me and asked me to sign them. I kept on telling people that I was just a nerdy grad student. It was fun the first time, but then I started getting scared and ran away.
Up early the next morning to head over to Coachella. I have some fun photos, damn my camera phone. Went with two of my friends who are leaving for South Africa soon. It was hot and the sun nearly killed me. It was also the first time I've ever worn a bikini in public outside of Norway, and I must say I'm kinda proud of myself for not being scared/ashamed of my body. The Pixies were AMAZING. They seemed so excited to be playing. I'm not a big Radiohead fan, but whatever. Kraftwerk were awesome to experience, even just for a few minutes. Kool Keith was, well, kool. My friends' band was the first to play in one of the tents, and it was overflowing. An indication of things to come. Why was Beck playing one of the tents? It was so packed you couldn't get within 2 blocks of the tent (NYC blocks). I'm pissed I couldn't go both days, but work had to be done and heatstroke had to be avoided. It also took us over five hours to get home. Over two just to get out of the parking lot and then assloads of construction traffic. My friend is a total trooper for driving.
Check out the shirt I got:
We totally do.
Last thing I did before going to bed around 6 a.m. was shovel a plate of pancakes into my gullet. Mmmm, pancakes.
Today I woke up and had to go to the mall and get a new charger for my shitty phone. Since I was there, and I'm a clothes whore, I bought this:
and these:
They go with the suit I bought to take over the corporate media with.
I wanted to buy these:
in red, which they only have in the stores, but couldn't. Might I remind you that my birthday is on Tuesday? What? You don't want to drop $285 on my present? Fuck you, asshole.
OK, back to work. Only a few more days to go.

but, lemme tell you, boy is it fun to walk around like a zombie, don't ya think?
Yeah, so I missed the bondage ball, and everything else SGLA has been up to lately ... too much work.
Too bad you don't rock as hard as me, huh?
