Evening, all.
Well, here goes...............20 Things About Me:
1. I have come so far with self development and growth that I don't know where I'll end up. But in a good way.
When I was little, I used to be so shy I would cry if I had to talk in class; I used to get Mum to write me a note when I bought milk or whatever at the shop so I wouldn't have to ask the person behind the counter.
Now I discuss personal and important issues with strangers at work (personal + important to them); I deal with a variety of professionals and say and do things that me as a little girl would faint at.
2. I once gave a talk about vaginas to my class at Uni. I had to say the word 'vagina' loads of times. Out loud. To guys as well. In public. I got full marks!!!
Once I figured there was no getting round it, it was easy.
3. Up until I was in my early 20s I felt I lived in the shadow of my older sister.
She was always prettier, smarter, better in every way. Felt like the crap version of her, or thought that's what people thought. I was commonly referred to as A_'s sister, like it was my name. And we were compared alot too.
Spent alot of time thinking and feeling like I was invisible. Took me ages to believe a guy would find me attractive, and that different can be better!
4. I'm pedantic about correct spelling, and to a lesser extent, grammer.
5. Devoured fairytales, myths, legends, horse stories, history and fantasy books when growing up. Still deeply in love with these subjects!
6.Didn't wear skirts until about 5 years ago. Has been a gradual change regarding image and what I choose to wear to represent my personality. Changes regularly. Have some disgustingly short skirts now. Love stockings and boots, as well as plain well-cut jeans and interesting jackets etc.
7. I've never been a patient in hospital. Ever (touch wood!).
8. Am very interested in religion and spirituality. Have done alot of reading and attended talks, courses and workshops, as well as healings. Am up to Reiki 2.
9. I have an obsession with religious art. Mostly have Catholic paraphernalia including a biggish plaster Virgin Mary and a gorgeous small bust of Jesus to name but two items. Just attracted to it! It fascinates me. And no, not brought up to be 'anything', and don't wish to be Catholic, Mormon, Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim etc although I respect all of these religions.
10. When i was born, the doctor screwed up and gave me a big 'outtie' belly-button. Have always disliked it. Bloody doctor! If I had a dollar for all the teasing..!
11. I did a lot of travelling when I was a baby and my parents were overseas with us. Shame I can't remember it! Mum collected dolls from alot of the places (ie-Greece, Turkey, England etc). Most beautiful dolls were from Japan. They were so delicate and beautiful and had probably fine rabbit fur for hair. I loved them. They weren't for playing with, but Mum would get them out about once a year and would tell us where each came from etc.
12. My parents divorced when I was very young. It wasn't, and still isn't, very amicable. Mum worries that we have bad ideas about relationships..................maybe that's why I'm still single??!! My sister is happily married so something must have gone ok somewhere.
13. I'm not musical at all.
14. I prefer cats to dogs.
15. I had really long, thick, gorgeous hair for 23 years....and then I gradually cut it until it became what it is today..a baby mullett!! It's so cute! Long hair is so high maintenance, but i loved it. Got sick of it in the end.
16. Used to be obsessed with the colour red as a child.
Singlets, knickers, shoes, socks, top, skirt etc etc all had to be red. No questions, no compromise. No idea why. Around the ages of 3-6 ish.
17. Was allergic to chocolate when I was young, which made it hard at children's birthday parties. Mum always told me "oh, you don't like that" whenever I hovered around a chocolatey thing. Now I don't know whether I truly don't care much for chocolate, or if it's from conditioning. It still wreaks havoc with my system.
18. I can't wear high-heels and don't know how to do make-up. I have failed girlie-school!
19. The worst thing I ever drank was undiluted raspberry cordial. I was puffed, hot and dripping with sweat after a school 'jump rope for heart' thing and grabbed the bottle I thought was the cool, refreshing diluted cordial. I was sooooo wrong. I thought I was gonna die it was so bad.
Worst thing I did was wee in someone's front yard when I was in the suburbs and thus zero hope of finding a public toilet. Still feel ashamed I did that. Didn't want to wet my pants, so I wet some bushes instead!
20. I love the SG unique look, attitude and vibe. I love reading the journals and love viewing the sets even more. I find the pictures interesting, and sometimes erotic.
Have never had the desire to be fool around with a girl, really. Maybe I'm missing out? Perhaps I've been sheltered? Never done anything to merely hint at blurring the lines of sexuality where women are concerned. Don't feel I need to chase experiences so much now. Happy with my level of confidence, prowess and experience. I always have fun!!
..............................and that, my friend, is my 20 things done!
How you like them apples???!!
