I've owned a copy of Seven Samurai for about four years now. I've never seen it, but was able to get it cheap, so decided it was probably a good movie to own. It's been a struggle to get around to it, because it's a three and a half hour movie, and I really wanted to watch the whole thing through and wanted to be sure I was in the mood for it when I watched it.
That day was today.
I'm really digging it, think Toshiro Mifune is the bee's tits, it's engaging and funny, it's pretty much perfect.
The intermission comes up.
I hit the chapter advance button on my remote, assuming the intermission gets its own chapter.
I was right,
I was happy.
And then the dvd crapped out. Won't even read now. This is so damn disappointing.

snottlebocket:
Seven samurai is a great movie, it's not one I watch often though due to the length.

bit cheeky but can't you go buy another copy, then take your broken one back to the store and get your money back
