Weekly update!
It's been kinda up and down for me. I had an internship interview on Monday for one of the top stations in Cleveland and it seemed to go okay, I guess. I'm not so sure, though. I have another interview tomorrow with the Cleveland Art Museum. They're starting an internal radio station from the ground up, so it seems like a fantastic opportunity. Then, hopefully next week I'll have something set up with a sports talk station. I'll keep you posted.
I think I made mention in a previous blog that we need 300 lab hours logged between internships and practice time in the studio. I graduate in August and this week, I officially broke 100 hours. I think after Saturday I'll be at 118. No one else is even close to 100 yet. I'm pretty proud of that!
Class projects were great. I did a 60 second concert spot on ZZ Top that is my best creative and production work yet! I also created a 30 second commercial for the school that is in the running to be put into rotation on the school's internet stations. Wish me luck!!
The shows were good. Tuesday and thursday were fine. I did some good things but I also found a lot of things that I can do better. I record all of my shows, then go back and listen to them to find out where I need to improve. I have some work to do, but I'm still getting a lot of positive feedback! The PROJEKT X Morning show returned as well, and once again was a hit. I can't tell you enough about how much I LOVE doing these shows!! It's cool when your friends listen and send you comments and request songs too. Speaking of, thank you to Hypersage, Jewelz, and MistressCrabby for their love and support. Dude...you guys are pretty freakin' sweet and I can't tell you how much I appreciate you.
I cut some new show promos this week as well as a new PROJEKT X intro and they're awesome. If you haven't yet, PLEASE check out my shows on Tuesday and Thursday from 8am to 10am and the PROJEKT X Morning show on Wednesday from 8am to 1:30pm at this website and please check out the Myspace page and add us as a friend and/or send love. If you request songs from me, I will play them and give you a shout out on air!! I'm also in the middle of editing some mp3 spots from our shows to post on the myspace page as well. Kinda like a "best of" made up of our favorite stuff.
