you know you're getting old (or boring when):
you change into a sweatsuit by 9pm
you pick up embroidery as a hobby
you're shopping for towels @ 10pm on halloween
yup...that prety much sums up my night. it wasn't the most excellent adventure ever, but not every day can be.
overall, it's bee a fun (albeit non-productive) weekend. I had lots of quality family time....

A whole extra hour of sleep tonight! I'm so excited that I made myself a big mug of Warm Milk to start the sleeping off right.
My Saturday nite was non-eventful, but the afternoon was cool--I went and hung out with my grandparents and other family.

having daylight savings on a weekend is totally pointless! I mean, come on! the only way that it's cool is on a weekday when people work and ACTUALLY get to sleep in!
The snow is coming...I can just feel it. It was definitely a soup day. I went to Panera and got some garden vegetable, but I would have preferred to stay at home and make some.
Man, dating is difficult. I'm trying to get out and meet new people, but the people I 'should' be liking and the people I am liking are so different! I...

Eww the snow is getting closer and closer each rainy day here. In fact it has already reached my frends house up on the benches of the moutnain. I dont mind the snow until the day after Christmas, but then it needs to go away.
I'm here in Bismarck, in between work appointments today, and chillin at quite possibly the cutest coffee shop/internet cafe/music store in town. Well...the only on in town, but it's a good one. In case you're soooo interested you just have to find out more: stringbeanmusic.com

I like to think that I have always had great costumes, but I do remember one year when I was a kid I got a lot of compliments on a wizard costume me and my mom made.
This year I am planning on not dressing up though
What about yourself?

Today's the day. A big ol' Quarter Century.
How am I celebrating my 25th year here?
My first year post-car accident? Well, I'm glad to have all my broken bones back to *normal.* (I almost killed myself in a car crash in March-Broken neck, back, etc...) I've also decided now is the time to get back into shape, after seeing today's featured suicide girl! Yowsa!...

Happy Birthday again
Bismarck huh? At least you are out and about I guess. I dont know maybe its a cool town?
Glad to hear you are all mended up and broken bone free. I drink enough milk I am hoping my bones are rock hard. Hopefully I never have to find out.
Happy B-day once again, and I hope you picked out the most expensive thing on the menu.

Car crash? OUCH!! I'm glad to hear you healed up. Healing from something like that can take forever sometimes, it seems. I know I still get dizzy sometimes from my last concussion.
Bismarck? Wild and crazy town. To be honest, though, it is actually kind of a fun place. I used to work for a company that repaired Blackjack tables and delievered Pulltabs all over North Dakota. Bismarck was always a fun place to hit. It seemed to have found that perfect balance of big enough to have somthing to do, but not so big that you couldn't find your way around. . . . . . . .or possibly I was just delerious. Driving all day by yourself in a truck full of pulltabs through the miles and miles of miles and miles that make up North Dakota can have a nasty effect on your sense of reality. I recall having a long and quite informative discussion with the hornet that was trapped in the front of the truck with me. I think I won the arguement, 'cause eventually he stung me and flew out the window.
Any day where you get some extra sleep is a good day. What more can you really ask for?
Rock the 25!!

Today's gloominess and sprinklyness did not help the ol' mood much today. I also did crappy on an A & P 2 practical exam.
Tonight: Study Buddy is comin' over and then I'll probably go out for a beer to drown my sorrows. Ugh. I'm turning 25 thursday.
Any words of wisdom from all you philosphers out there?

Awwwwww, how cute. You've got a little balloon by your name. I sincerely hope it means that you're enjoying your day, though.
Run!!? Through a Don't Walk sign? But, . . .but . . . will that not cause the laws of nature to vanish and send the earth hurtling into the sun? Hmmm, perhaps not. However it makes you a certified Jaywalker. Please do me the honor of accepting your 'J' and your membership in the large group of peopel who get annoyed at me downtown 'cause I won't cross the street with them
I work the night shift at a hotel in Downtown Minneapolis. And since I am the peon (new guy), I have to work weekends so I get the midweek stretch as my weekend. Kinda of fun, though, to always be comeing when everyone is going . . . . um, so to speak (I tried, believe me, to find a better analogy, but I just couldn't make one work). Plus I get all day, with the help of a judicious amount of caffine, to work on my own stuff.
Catch ya tomorrow and you'd better have had a good day

Errrrr! Ultimate weaselness! Not only do you taunt me with weekend of freedom (I haven't had a weekend off since . . . . Augus of 03), but you tempt me with your sweet smorsey goodness! OH well, I guess I can cope, but the idea of smores happening where I can't get at them is quite painful.
Sound like a kicken' time, though.
That is what I'm most afraid of. My sis is pretty rebelious now and she's only 7. When she's seventeen . . *shudder*. I just hope my dad keeps his heart medication filled up. Nothing against being your own person and all, but I'm just finally now finishing my fights with my parents. I'm not sure if I can handle the ones I know she'll start.
Spam is the bestest. I've been to the museum and it is awesome. I actually used to live just down the freeway from there in Albert Lea. I even have a poster from when they made a spam pulltab game at a lottery company I used to work for.

You should've made your way down to the CC last Saturday then! Wonderful south Minneapolis on a crisp fall day is tough to beat. Okay, yes, I'm one of the unofficial pimps of SGTC (to get you out, not turn you out, silly).
I hope Nashville was all the corporate world brainwashers had it cracked up to be!!! Ahh... the joys of corporate.

I went to a party last night and fell asleep before all the fun people came. I woke up when they were all leaving. It seems like my whole day has been that kind of 'luck.'
First, just when my lunch came @ Sawatdee, it was time for me to leave for a haircut appointment.

I think I do interest him just as well. I was over at his place today, and looking at his high school yearbook, and he's a *perfect* combination of me at that age and him now. He's like a tall, skinny reflection of myself, which is good and bad.
Tiny Elvis...I dunno...I was surfin the site and tired, and you must have made a comment somewhere that I thought was interesting or sexy or cute or funny. I think my profile has lots to say about me (more than yours does about you). ANd, of course, I think I'm friend-worthy and fun. So...it's your call, man.
I went to O'Gara's tonight and COsmic's. Both were fun. I saw a cute girl that's a friend-of-a-friend. If only I could be 19 again like her...

Kinda wish there was some sort orf award for sleeping through the party . . . I'd have to fight you for it
So is it better to be there to defend to yourself but have to relive those same heartbreaks? Some times the best way to defend yourself from that stuff is just to not even be involved. 'Course the best thing about the past is that its already done, so no worries.
Sounds like a fun 'sorta' date. Sometimes, though, those are the best kind. No pressure, just enjoying each others company. Not a bad way to spend a day

That's a bummer about Rodney Dangerfield! I remember him so vividly in Ladybugs!
Well, another day has come and passed. I was feeling so out of sorts and behind, but today I'm doing a little better. I'm a little more on top of my game with regard to school and work. With regard to dating? Well...You can't win 'em all!
Next week, I'm going to...

Wish I could come this weekend, but I think work is going to keep me from it. Maybe next time.
This day was exhausing! Wearing tall knee-high boots all day, having to take an organic chem exam, working, driving, yikes! I wish I had access to a giver of full body rubs tonite!
But, since I don't, I guess I'll just read a book and do homework.

That's not a cool deal. I know my parents gave me the evil eye when I ditched my Air Force scholorship and traded my meteorology for a history degree and then used it to get a job at a hotel so that I could work on my friend's movie and website. Although after the suicide they eased up on the criticism a little bit.
But you're definately right in that there is no need to get hyper about it. I mean, to me, if you're enjoying yourself and able to at least provide for yourself what more is there really to get worked up about? If you're not doing what you had orginally planned, all that means is that you changed your plans. There is no failure involved. Life is for living, not worrying about keeping score (money) or about following some script that was written years ago (career, degrees). The only thing that should make you worried is if you can't get up inthe morning and honestly say, "Hey, I think this is gonna be fun."
So, you know what? Tomorow, I think, is gonna be fun!

You know those headaches you get when all you need is a good neck crackin' and you just can't get one? That's m problem right now. COnsequently, I'm in my jammies and pouting and listening to the debate and doing homework. Sympathy accepted.
I had to work on Halloween. Which wouldn't have been all the bad except that the hotel was EMPTY!! I had a very animated (and deeply fulfilling strangely enough) conversation with the automated weather hotline out of sheer boredom. Its always the day that you bring a book that you're just about done with that you end up with a ton of time to read.
