So I've had this account for over a month now and I'm already feeling kind of burned out on it. I paid for a year's subscription so I'm not giving up yet, but I really don't visit too often and only browse other people's blogs lately, not even really looking at the front page sets.
I WAS in a stupid artistic slump for a while there, where I wasn't drawing or anything at all, and it was depressing and annoying and all kinds of other things. Luckily, however, I got out of it, well, long enough to finish chapter 3 of Other Sleep WHICH YOU NEED TO READ IF YOU HAVEN'T YET, then I fell BACK into the slump for about a week.
Then I went to Heroes Con last weekend with a couple of friends. It was just what I needed, the perfect nerd vacation. I spent a shitload of money on a ton of comics, met a number of favorite artists and talked craft with them. The whole weekend was the con, when it would close up for the day we'd just return to the hotel to rest and sift through whatever we bought that day. But yeah, seeing the original pages of some super talented dudes, talking to those same dudes about art and making comics, being exposed to so much of it all at once was...
...well, it was rejuvenating. I feel weird saying that, but it's like I had my old batteries ripped out and replaced with new ones. After coming home I hit the ground running and have been working all week. I'm proud to say this evening that I FINISHED my new minicomic, Burst Reach 2, and will be getting copies printed tomorrow.
Here's the cover:
I'm now gearing up for a local con that's next month, and this is one of the books I'll be selling. Hopefully I'll get the first chapter of Other Sleep printed up too, and a collection of comic strips I did for my college newspaper. And I need to get to work on chapter 4 of Other Sleep, of course.
So yeah, I'm feeling good now. Feeling accomplished. Let's just keep this going, yeah? Gotta keep moving...

I've had friends come and go but lately it seems like there's less happening around here although I'm spending less time on here due to a lack of time really. There does seem to be a bit of a mass exodus happening. Although it has to be said that you get out what you put in.
I like your art style I must say, I like the lo-fi punk style.
