So....I'm finally updating again. It's been like a week since I've done this so I have a lot to say.
Lemme start with the exam I had on Thursday. I studied my ass of for it and I'm not sure if it paid off or not. I need to do well on this exam in order to pass this class and believe me...I need to pass.
After that exam on thursday, I went to see Star Wars with my friend Nicole. It was pretty good except for the obligatory shitty lines that accompany the Star Wars series. Most of these lines were between Anikin and Padme. For those of you who havent seen this movie, the lines go something like this:
Anikin: I love you Padme.
Padme: No, I love you more Anikin.
Anikin: No, I love you more Padme.
Padme: No, I love you more....
...And it goes on and on and on.... I don't get it. Hayden Christensen (sp?) is a good actor and Natalie Portman is an excellent actress. So why is it that once they do a Star Wars flick, they have to spew this horse shit and act all shitty. I guess it's a requirement for a flick like this. Overall though, a great movie because the action is intense and bringing the story to a close is nice.
Friday, I hung out with some friends...nothing eventful. 'Twas really hot tough...(and I mean H-O-Fucking-T).
Saturday......
Bah...I have to crop better. The whole image is in my picture section (I say picture because it's my only one so far...) I am sorry that Mattias is cut off because I'd like to know what he was doing....
Anyways...as the picture indicates, I saw the Millencolin at the Fonda in Hollywood on the 21st. Got to meet the band an hour before the concert because I drove 25 miles to preorder their CD (this just happens to be one of the perks). The opening acts sucked balls bigtime. The first band (Roses are Red) was okay musically (although I can't say that I liked it) but what irritated me about them was that they kept kissing, licking and caressing each other. Now, don't get me wrong...I'm cool with the whole being gay thing. But, when I'm at a concert, I would like the music to speak for itself and not have their onstage antics rule their set. Next came Thorn for Every Heart (their lead singer looks like Tony Danza ) and Boys Night Out. Basically...with them, It seemed like I was listening to the same song 30 times. They sucked balls nonetheless. I can even synopsize their songs like this:
*whine**whine**whine*.........*ROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRR*
But finally...after having to sit through 3 hours of shit....Millencolin finally started their set, and I couldn't have been happier. Highlights from their set included Mattias singing "Mr. Clean", Black Eye, Soft World and Ray (for those of you who know their songs). I came away from that night with that picture above and several autographs (which I will post in my next entry....I'm lazy and it's 3 am dammit!)
Sunday.....saw the Millencolin again! Same shitty openers...same awesome set. Got my face smashed in, my neck sprained, impaired hearing, and I have a slight black eye from the 2 days of madness....and it was definitely worth it. (Tiger Army in 4 days!!!!!!)
Monday, was rather uneventful....cleaned my room, took care of some ersonal business, and went to my friend Steph's house to drink and go swimming.
'Twas a fun weekend......
