Sooo, in respite for studying for my finals, I have chosen, instead to look back at my first full term at the university and figure out a few of the things that I have learned over the past two and a half months:
1) Frat boys. I never knew how much I hated frat boys.
2) No matter how much you say you hate living with your family, you want to go home all the time if the food at the university sucks.
3) I need to save all my quarters for laundry.
4) Procrastination is NOT a good thing. Need to stop the procrastination.
5) Girls are people too, no matter how badly I want their phone numbers.
6) It is NOT cool to piss off a balcony at a party. This applies even if theres another dude puking his lungs out onto the bush next to the one you're pissing in.
7) Stay away from heavy drinking.
Booze + Dizzle = Irresponsibility
8) Stay true to who you are, no matter how many people around you are willing to sell their souls at the drop of a hat in the name of being popular.
9) Did I mention I hate frat boys?
10) I need to play less World of Warcraft. Seriously...
11) I need to take advantage of my professors' office hours.
12) Rate My Professor.com. I need to check this out BEFORE I register for my classes.
13) Even a Staunchly Religious Republican (my roomate) and an extremely Left Liberal (me) can get along as long as we give each other space and approach each other's viewpoints with respect.
14) Stick to the things you like, no matter how many detractors it has
15) I never realize how much I miss my friends until I moved 200 miles away from them.
16) Before I get hot and heavy with a lady I met at a bar, ask if she's married.
For those of you that don't know about this story...a couple of Friday's ago, I was making my usual rounds at the bar I frequent when this older (admittedly hot) lady starts bugging me to dance with her. I finally oblige and things start to get pretty freaky. I take her back to my place and as I'm undressing her, she mutters that I do this waaay better than her husband does.... I ment to put it in my Journal, but I forgot. Sorry.
17) Midterms are ALWAYS closer than you think....
18) Financial Aid = Life saver.
19) I just realized that I haven't changed my profile picture in about 4 months.
20) My happiness should NOT depend on the actions (or lack thereof) on one person, period.
21) I really need to get back to studying for finals.
