Whales !!
<>No, not Rhondas and Dylans singing in close harmony in the valleys
<>No, not the bikini type (well yes, but that is another story)
We saw a pod of 3 whales from our 10th storey apartment, right on the esplanade. At the same time, we saw a pod of dolphins. I can never remember seeing whales as a kid, so we were just blown away.
Holiday was great. I one week, we never drove more than 3kms! Walked to the beach, the pool, the spa. Swam, laid and baked, scooped up fish and crabs in the rock pools (and let them go).
Worst thing was going back to work. New boss, a former sales manager, has NO idea how to lead people. The guy is a dweeb. So took a sickie as I had a migraine from the stress of dealing with him. "I have a plan". It is like working in Dad's Army.
Took Monday off to do a ....... trackday. A delayed birthday pressie. Wow - 230 kph down the back straight on the Gixer, 150 kph thru the 1st turn. Scrapped my boot getting so far over - almost scrapped my elbow on the inside curve at 130 kph. My Michellin Pilot Powers are nicely peeled right out to the very edge. There is something deeply satisfying about sticky tires, warm (hot) to the touch and you can smell them !! Awesome. Will be doing that again. Might even look around for a trackday only bike.
Even with all that, I still couldn't wind on full throttle without taking my hand off and twisting the last bit in my fingers - note to self: get quick acting throttle. Some pics go up on a photogs website tomorrow, so I'll have some proof soon.
So, apart from work, every thing has just been dandy. See ya ... oh, went to see Little Miss Sunshine last night at the Dendy - apart from $13.50 for a flick on Tuesday, the movie was really funny - a great bunch of missfits and the act Olive does at the pageant is so funny. If any thing, it once again shows the deep divide between the US and the rest of the world.

Toe is still quite sore. Doesn't help that I've bashed it a few times since. I've been so clumsy lately!
