Woot, I'm alive!! I still feel like ass, but I'm alive and feeling better than I have been, especially after getting the packing out. The surgery went well and I think by next week I should be feeling the full (positive) effects.
I didn't turn black and blue, but my nose and eyes did get pretty swollen and I was pretty pale for a bit.

I was supposed to go back to work on Friday, but got an extension for another week so I don't have to go back till the 26th. While I am in less pain and not so deformed looking, I'm still pretty light headed and way tired. I'm sure it's more than I need, but I'd rather have a few days off where I could have gone in, vs going in and wishing I've had a few more days.
