So here's what happened yesterday..

I went to Orlando to fight in the Florida Brazillian Jiu Jitsu champsionships...I haven't fought in a tournament since 2003 and I am 30 lbs heavier than i was...literally 30 lbs....So, what do you think happened? I got there at 0900, registered, and had to wait until 4:p.m. to fight...So, I finally got to fight, and I was jacked up man..ready to roll!! Well, the dude took me down, (2 points) passed my guard, (3 points) mounted me, (4 points) and then submitted me with an Americana shoulder lock...with about 20 seconds to go...fuck...the only high point was I almost swept him, but he had a good base and was very strong...All in all, our school didn't do very well, we took 1st and 2nd place in the white belt featherweight division..and that was it...everyone else got beat the fuck up!!

Oh well, back to the mats..I think my next tournament is in December...I'll be in training until then!!!
